The appointee will provide administrative support to various student-oriented activities for undergraduate students in the School of Science. Major duties include providing administrative and logistics support to the Math Peer Tutoring Program or other co-curricular activities, managing peer tutor recruitment and training, and performing any other duties as assigned. The appointee is expected to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and at different levels. Occasional work outside office hours may be required.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably with 1-2 years of relevant work experience. Fresh graduates with a strong science background are also welcome to apply. A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently and flexibly are required. Ideal candidates should be strong in mathematics/physics, self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), and good knowledge in IT and software applications (including Chinese word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, database management, website maintenance). Work experience with students and/or at tertiary/educational institutions will be a definite advantage. (Duration: 1 year)
